If you want to experience a new, crazy challenge and have an entrepreneurial and open-minded spirit, then InCube is for you!

Donor Name: ETH Entrepreneur Club

Country: Global

Type of Grant: Challenge

Deadline: 07/01/2023

Size of the Grant: 2500 CHF

Details:

Incube is a 5-day intensive design thinking challenge that takes place in a glass cube. Interdisciplinary teams of five solve a challenge on a real-world problem faced today and the goal is to find an innovative solution. On the fifth day, the teams pitch their solution to a jury at the Launch event. It takes place on the second week of October 2023 in several locations around the world.

InCube is an exclusive and incredible experience. You will learn a lot in a short amount of time, meet new people, and have eye-to-eye discussions with senior management from industry partners. But most importantly, you will push the boundaries of your comfort zone. While you will get the chance to network with like-minded people, you will learn new skills and get the opportunity for project incubation and follow-up support. Maybe your idea will turn into start-up. And that startup will have the ideal starting conditions regarding expert support.

The InCube Challenge consists of three events

  • PrepCube
    • It is an online program. It usually consists of one online meeting which provides the Cubes with detailed information about InCube and OutCube. Participation is mandatory. It takes place in September and lasts around 1 hour.
  • OutCube
    • OutCube is a preparatory retreat in the Swiss Alps in Switzerland. During the week, participants will receive training on the fundamental concepts of entrepreneurship, design thinking, and innovation.
    • Participants will have the opportunity to meet inspiring speakers and participate in personal development workshops. It will also be a chance for you to explore the area, discover the beauty of the location, and get to know your future cube’s teammates through a variety of activities.
  • InCube
    • Here is where the competition begins. With your team you will have five days to meet the challenge given by one of their flagship companies, advised by one of their facilitators who will be there to support you. It is five days of intense work to go from a concept to a fully researched and developed pitch on the given challenge.
