The Singapore Airlines AppChallenge is an innovation challenge seeking any form of digital solution, beyond mobile space apps, to address real business challenges.
Challenge Themes

- Seamless Customer Experience
- Share with them your solutions that tap into new opportunities arising from travellers’ evolving needs.
- People & Operations
- Share with them your solutions that enable staff members to achieve operational efficiency through technology.
- Beyond Travel
- Share with them your solutions that tap into new opportunities beyond aviation and travel.
- Wild Cards
- Have a solution that does not fit into our Challenge Statements? Innovation is limitless. Share with them your proposal on their three wildcards: Artificial Intelligence, Metaverse and Extended Reality or Open submissions.
Prizes
- Prize 1: Winners will enjoy 330,000 KrisFlyer miles per team.
- Prize 2: Winners will enjoy 220,000 KrisFlyer miles per team.
- Prize 3: Winners will enjoy 130,000 KrisFlyer miles per team.
What will happen during the Grand Finale?
- Shortlisted start-ups will be invited to pitch their final Submissions (i.e. finalised prototypes and pitching deck) to the judging panel on 19 January 2024 in Singapore.
- Finalist Teams will be given the opportunity to fly into Singapore (maximum 2 members) and given two nights of accommodation for the purpose of the AppChallenge 2023 Grand Finale.
Note: Only flights and accommodations are provided for. All other expenses including, but not limited to, travel insurance, visa applications, commute, general living expenses and more, are to be covered by the finalists participants themselves.
Eligibility Criteria
The Challenge consists of the following Categories:
- Start-up Category
- Only registered companies are to participate in the Start-up Category.
- All SIA employees (including full-time and part-time employees), employees of sponsors and partners of the Challenge are not eligible to participate in this Challenge in any Category.
