gener8tor Reno-Tahoe Accelerator Program 2023

Dated: April 19, 2023

Applications are now open for gener8tor Reno-Tahoe Accelerator Program, a 12-week in-person, concierge experience for high-growth startups.

Donor Name: gener8tor

Country: Global

Type of Grant: Accelerator

Deadline: 06/11/2023

Size of the Grant: $100,000

Details:

They are a nationally ranked accelerator that invests in only five companies per program. Accepted startups receive $100K and 12 weeks of mentorship-driven programming. This is an industry-agnostic and business model-agnostic program. They accept ALL types of startups across ALL industries and ALL business models. The selected five companies will need to be in Reno for the duration of the program, and maintain a meaningful presence in the state of Nevada for a year afterward.

They focus all of their time, energy, and network on you through a concierge-level experience. gener8tor supports your growth through their network of experienced mentors, technologists, corporate partners, angel investors and venture capitalists.

gener8tor believes that everyone deserves opportunities, regardless of race, place, or gender. And that is what they consider their mission.

Reno-Tahoe is one of the fastest-growing regions in the country with a booming culture of creativity and innovation. And they’ve never lost touch with their unapologetically gritty pioneering spirit. Forward-thinking companies such as Tesla and Patagonia call the area home, along with other innovative startups spearheading the next wave of growth. With the Desert Research Institute and the University of Nevada, Reno, there are scientists, engineers, and business leaders evolving areas in ClimateTech, FinTech, and BioTech as examples. Lake Tahoe, the jewel of the area, is a world-class resort destination and it also has some of the country’s biggest investors.

Benefits

  • Selected teams will receive a $100,000 investment in return for 7.5% equity in your company using a Simple Agreement for Future Equity (SAFE).

What They’re Looking For?

  • Applications are welcome from startups headquartered anywhere in the world. This is an industry-agnostic and business model-agnostic program. They accept all types of startups across every industry and business model.
  • Home Means Nevada
    • They want to bring a big impact to their home base of Reno and the state of Nevada. They’re looking for companies that are already based in Nevada with a co-founder or operations, or companies that are open to moving here for the duration of the accelerator program and a year afterward. Come experience Nevada as one of the best states to build a company.
  • Scalable Business Model
    • They focus on startups that have the opportunity for significant and scalable economic impact. If you are generating revenue or have a clear path toward greater adoption, they urge you to apply.
  • Can They Help?
    • Based on their expertise in sales, marketing, go-to-market, strategy and fundraising, they select startups that are primed for growth. If you are at a point where their network, resources and expertise can scale your impact, they urge you to apply.
  • Passionate and Dedicated Founders
    • Building a venture-backable business is hard. Really really hard. They’re here to support you along the way as they look for the founders who are in love with the problem they are solving, especially those that are underrepresented.
