MediaMarkt wants to change the world of Retail! Being a global leader in the sector, they admit that this change can be achieved together with startups through cultural transformation and digitalisation.

MediaMarkt are driven by the aim to enrich customer experience; they endeavour to boost the most innovative solutions and ideas in the retail sector.

MediaMarkt cooperates with Buybuddy in 10 stores, and with Udentify, one of the first-year winners, in 5 stores. In addition, pilot studies were conducted with AssistBox, B2Metric, Countbuddy, Optiyol and Qumpara. All their winners so far (Buybuddy, Udentify, Kutu, Shopi) had the opportunity to benefit from the acceleration program by joining the network of the Plug and Play Tech Center in Germany.

MediaMarkt’s vision this year revolves around four principal areas of interest: Shopping Experience, Usage Experience, Employee Experience, and Social & Environmental Impact Experience. Based on these principal areas, they’ve designed specific categories. They are waiting for innovative ideas and practices that will make a difference in the future retail experience.

    • Offering an integrated omnichannel experience, transforming the decision-making process for customers both online and in-store, providing a seamless technological journey.
  • After-Sales Technologies
    • All initiatives and solutions focused on guaranteeing the satisfaction of the customers who have completed the purchasing process, ensuring they have a consistent experience in their store for subsequent choices.
  • Empowering Employee Experience through Corporate Digitalization
    • Enhancing employee satisfaction by focusing on their happiness and well-being, empowering them to offer superior services, and solutions that streamline their work processes.
  • Sustainability and Environmental Impact Solutions
    • Prioritizing sustainability and social benefits, focusing on initiatives that ensure long-term positive impacts on the community and environment in the retail sector.
