Details:
Establish a Fair Chance Opportunity reentry service and program that strategically builds credential attainment or meaningful employment for individuals currently incarcerated with 2 years or less before release into the community. Through various stakeholders, including formerly incarcerated experts, build and brand a Fair Chance Opportunity reentry program that focuses on evidence-based interventions aimed at reducing recidivism (including reducing arrests, new charges, convictions for new offenses, and reincarceration) as well as promoting success and well-being in individuals impacted by incarceration.
Objectives
- Increase fair chance opportunities by implementing strategies that will commit to the overall educational or employment success for individuals currently incarcerated with 2 years or less before release into the community.
- Create a career pathway system or a workforce development network that will implement fair chance opportunities for currently incarcerated people with 2 years or less before release into the community.
