Annual scholarship created by Frank and Kathy Kanowsky and friends in memory of their daughter, to encourage North Posey High School students to pursue higher education and to use their knowledge and skills to benefit tri-state communities after graduation.

- Written essay (not to exceed one typed page or 400 words) explaining why the applicant believes he or she is the most qualified candidate for the scholarship award.
- Letter of recommendation from a teacher or coach attesting to applicant’s involvement in school activities and/or sports and evidence of responsibility, maturity, and character.
- Official grade transcript.
Eligibility Criteria
Graduating seniors of North Posey High School with a minimum cumulative grade point average of 2.5 (4.0 scale). Applicants must be planning to pursue a degree at Murray State University upon high school graduation.
