The Governors of Texas and Arizona are busing migrants to the east coast, including Washington, DC, leaving thousands homeless with little to no support. These migrants and refugee-seekers have arrived in the DC in need of basic human rights like housing, food, clothing, transportation, and many other services and resources. OAG recognizes the swift action of local organizations to assist those arriving to their city and the strain this is causing to their existing resources and potentially public safety. OAG is pleased to offer financial support to eligible organizations that are working with this vulnerable population.
Funding Information
- Through this Notice of Non-Competitive Funding Availability, OAG announces the availability of up to $50,000 in funding per grant per organization for Fiscal Year 2022 to eligible organizations.
- Total grant funding will not exceed $150,000.
Eligibility Criteria
Existing organizations that will provide services to assist the vulnerable migrant population described in the Purpose section of this Notice of Non-Competitive Funding Availability and that meet the following eligibility requirements at the time of application may apply; nonprofit, community-based organizations with an IRS 501(c)(3) or 501(c)(4) determination. Organizations interested in applying jointly may apply with an identified lead organization and must describe which additional organization(s) will be supported through this grant, including proposal and budget narratives for each organization.
