The City of Champlin supports neighborhood-landscaping practices that improve water quality and expand pollinator habitat. To encourage these practices and to demonstrate their potential for successfully fulfilling both environmental and aesthetic requirements, the City has established a grant program for landscapes that benefit water quality and pollinator habitat.
Funding Information
The maximum grant amount for any single project is $500. The ERC will consider funding of up to $2,000 for a group project. The total available amount in 2024 is $2,000. There is no requirement for matching funds.
Eligible Activities
Activities that transform a portion of a lawn or outlot to improve water quality and pollinator habitat are eligible. Priority is given for all seeds and plantings being indigenous to Minnesota prairies, savannas, woodlands or wetlands.
Eligible Applicants
Individual property owners, community associations, businesses, and schools are eligible to apply for the grant.
