The purpose of the grant program is to encourage Sioux Falls residents to collaboratively identify and actively participate in making improvements in your neighborhood for the enhancement of a neighborhood’s livability and involvement, and to promote a strong sense of community.
Funding Information
Maximum funding is $500 each year.
Eligible Applicants
Proposals will only be accepted from neighborhoods registered with the City of Sioux Falls. Although individual persons, business, or community-based organizations are not eligible to apply for grant funds on their own, they may do so in partnership with a registered neighborhood.
Project Consideration
Projects may include but are not limited to:
- Boulevard trees.
- Children or youth programs that benefit children (after-school/summer program, tutoring/mentoring).
- Community flower or vegetable gardens.
- Identification signage or logo design.
- Neighborhood cleanup.
- Neighborhood welcome kits
- Pedestrian safety.
- Public art.
- Residential security lighting.
- Traffic calming equipment.
