The Nashville Entrepreneur Center (NEC) has announced that Amazon will serve as the presenting sponsor for the 2022 NEXT Awards and Entrepreneurs’ Hall of Fame event this fall, an annual ceremony devoted to the entrepreneurial ​​visionaries, game-changers, and disruptors transforming their industries, creating opportunities, growing economies ​​and improving lives in Nashville and beyond.

The Nashville Entrepreneur Center is honored to host the 2022 NEXT Awards to celebrate each of you – entrepreneurs in Middle Tennessee who are transforming industries and making their world better.

This groundbreaking partnership with Amazon will further amplify the NEC’s efforts to support Nashville’s emerging entrepreneurs and foster innovation throughout the city. This contribution will greatly benefit the entrepreneurial community of Nashville and aligns perfectly with the core values of both organizations to create opportunities for growing businesses.

The Nashville Entrepreneur Center’s 2022 NEXT Awards are happening on October 24, 2022, at the Schermerhorn Symphony Center.

Category awards include:

  • Both Emerging and Market Movers (10 total awards) broken into the following industries:
    • Products, Services & Retail
    • Tech
    • Healthcare
    • Music, Sports & Entertainment
    • Real Estate, Construction & Hospitality

As part of the show, they will be awarding companies in five industry categories in each of the following stages:

  • Emerging – Companies with revenue of below $3M
  • Market Mover – Companies with revenue of $3M and above

All applicants below $1M in revenue, regardless of industry, will automatically be considered for the inaugural Startup of the Year award.

Qualifications 

Qualifications to apply for an Industry Category:

  • Founder is still actively working with the company
  • Company must be headquartered in Middle Tennesse
  • Founder’s company must have proven growth, success and some level of scale
    • Founder must have made a significant impact within past 12 months
