The Paul Lauzier Charitable Foundation provides funding on an annual basis. The Foundation also provides support in the form of long-term grants disbursed over several years. The Foundation will consider funding requests for program support, equipment and capital projects.
The trustee’s decision to award a charitable grant does not constitute any agreement or commitment of future support.
The Foundation welcomes collaboration with other grantors and encourages grantees with multiple sources of funding support.
There is no geographical limitation for funding requests. However, the Paul Lauzier Charitable Foundation prefers to fund programs and projects geographically located in rural communities in central and eastern Washington, with an emphasis within Grant County.
Eligible Applicants
Grants are made subject to the condition that a selected organization is a nonprofit tax-exempt entity under Section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code to which a gift qualifies as a charitable contribution under Section 170(c) and as a charitable deduction under Section 2055(a) and Section 2522(a). Schools, towns, cities, healthcare entities and governmental agencies may also apply.
Ineligibility
The Paul Lauzier Charitable Foundation will NOT:
- award grants to individuals.
- award grants for salaries, debt retirement, political campaigns, tuition assistance or any non-exempt activity.
- award grants to organizations that discriminate on the basis of ethnicity, gender, religion or physical ability.
