Mission at the Child Victims’ Trust Fund (CVTF) is to provide funding to help reduce the incidence and impact of child sexual abuse in Kentucky. The need is real. Kentucky children are at risk. Prevention is key. They promote, support, and fund effective programs to improve the safety of their children.
Non-profit organizations and public agencies are eligible to apply for these opportunities that are made available through the Kentucky Child Victims’ Trust Fund. Two types of grants are available:
- Statewide Public Education and Awareness Grant – This grant is available to Kentucky non-profit and public agencies that work toward reducing child sexual abuse and exploitation through public education and awareness campaigns. A program is considered statewide if prevention activities will be conducted in all regions of Kentucky.
- Prevention Grant -This grant is available to Kentucky non-profit and public agencies that work toward reducing child sexual abuse and exploitation through primary, secondary and/ or tertiary prevention programs. Prevention activities may be regional or statewide.

- Most recent audit conducted by an independent auditing agency
- IRS 501 (c) (3) designation and affidavit.
- Most recent IRS form 990.
- Grantee agency brochures, newsletters, etc. Please provide information for the board to subscribe to the newsletter or announcements of the center.
- Certification by the Executive Director that all persons, including medical personnel involved in the child sexual abuse medical examination program, has had a background check executed within the last two years. The individual background check results shall be maintained by the Director and available upon a site visit.
- Certification by the Executive Director that all persons including medical personnel involved in the child sexual abuse medical examination program has signed the Child Victims’ Trust Fund Annual Confidentiality and Non-Disclosure Agreement. The individual signed confidentiality statements shall be kept at the child advocacy center and available upon a site visit.
- Certification by the Executive Director that each physician, SANE, ARNP, RN, LPN, medical assistant, and unlicensed nursing personnel has the following that can be provided upon request by the Board:
- Proof of active licensure by the Kentucky Medical Association or Board of Nursing, as applicable
Any current certificates of attendance at continuing education course on child sexual abuse forensicmedical examinations, if applicable. - A written Contract for Services, or Memorandum of Understanding, between the physician or SANE and Grantee, regardless of whether of payment is exchanged for performance of child sexual abuse medical examinations.
- A signed agreement from the physician, nurse, medical assistant, and unlicensed nursing personnel.
Proof of a certificate, diploma, or Association Degree from an accredited college, community college, or technical college for each medical assistant.
- Proof of active licensure by the Kentucky Medical Association or Board of Nursing, as applicable
