Eligibility Criteria
Organizations that meet the following criteria
- Nonprofit human service organizations OR community based organizations including those without a 501(c)(3) status that serve Washtenaw County residents.
- Organizations currently or looking to get engaged in racial equity/social justice work in Washtenaw County
Additional Consideration:
- Agency annual operating budget of $500K or smaller
- Based in and operating in Washtenaw County for 10 years or less
- Led by a BIPOC individual
Expectations
In an effort to support organizations where the need for capacity support is self-reported as high, organizations are expected to work on a minimum of 2 projects per year, with no ceiling on how many projects they can undertake.
Process
- Organizations attend an information session facilitated by AAACF, UWWC, and Catchafire to support awareness and expectations related to the opportunity to be eligible for selection.
- Selection would be based upon an organization’s responses to the application, with decisions being made by key staff at AAACF and UWWC.
