This program was created by the United States Clean Vessel Act of 1992 to evaluate the existing conditions of sanitary disposal for boaters and to provide financial assistance for the improvement of marina sanitation facilities where they are needed.
Funding Priorities
Priority is given to areas where there are inadequate pump-out facilities and where there are significant potential users.
Eligible Projects
Development or improvement of sanitation facilities for boaters (including pump-out stations, dump-outs, and floating restrooms).
Eligibility Criteria
- Public and private marinas.
- All CVA Grant Application grant applicants (both private businesses and government entities) must be a legal owner of the property and also be registered with the Minnesota Secretary of State.
