- Upper Valley Capacity Building – provides grants and direct community engagement to support organizations, networks, and programs that promote family well-being and children’s health, early learning, and development within the Upper Valley region of New Hampshire and Vermont as well as across the state of New Hampshire.
- Statewide System-Building – collaboration with public and private partners to build statewide capacity in New Hampshire for leadership, advocacy, and effective public policies that support strong systems of care for children and families.
- Research & Innovation – creates opportunities for Foundation and community learning through research, innovative program development, and collaboration and engagement with community partners working to improve outcomes for young children and caregivers.
Geographic Service Area: The Foundation’s early childhood grants support direct service organizations and networks in the Upper Valley region of New Hampshire and Vermont, as well as organizations in New Hampshire working to build strong and equitable systems of care for young children ages birth through five.
Eligibility Criteria
- Applicants must have 501(c)3 nonprofit status or fiscal sponsorship through a 501(c)3 organization.
- The Foundation does not make grants to individuals, religious organizations, or “start-up” organizations.
- Grants are not made to public, private, or independent elementary and secondary schools. Trustees will consider requests from nonprofit organizations whose purpose is to enhance the learning opportunities and well-being of children in school.
