These gifts offer the most flexibility for meeting charitable community needs. Because donations to the fund are permanently endowed, they will always be there to meet current, and often changing, needs.
All applicants will need to complete a grant application form through our online grant system.
Applications are not limited to a particular issue or target population. For-profit organizations are not considered as grant recipients unless the request is for a charitable project. Non-profit organizations and individuals or groups of individuals are considered. Grants are limited to projects that fall within the greater Salina area defined as: Saline County and charitable organizations outside Saline County that are founding donors in the Foundation.
Eligibility Criteria
The community foundation can make grants to the following entities:
- 501(c)(3) nonprofit organizations
- Education
- Government
- Religious
- Individuals or organizations that do NOT fall into one of the above entities are encouraged to partner with a fiscal agent in one of those categories.
- If that is not possible, please contact the community foundation to see if your project still qualifies and if there are any additional reporting requirements
- Grants are typically restricted to the geographic areas served by the community foundation
