The funding is meant as an investment to nonprofits who are providing food and other necessities for everyday survival. The fund is not able to provide grants to individuals. The purpose is funding nonprofit organizations that have the experience and history of providing services and support to residents.
Objective
The main objective is to establish a multidisciplinary platform of young professionals working on climate change, disaster management and resilience in Caribbean SIDS.
The proposed platform will be open to young professionals working on Disaster Risk Management (DRM) / Disaster Risk Reduction (DRR) / Climate Resilience and related areas in Caribbean Small Island Developing States (SIDS). It will be a multidisciplinary hub for young professionals with different academic backgrounds, professional experience and expertise to share their knowledge, practices and experiences on DRM, discuss their views and take relevant and coordinated actions, in the form of physical (on-the-ground) or digital (online/offline) initiatives.

Eligibility Criteria
- The Hudson Community Foundation welcomes grant requests from nonprofit organizations that are classified as nonprofit charitable organizations under section 501(c)(3) of the IRS code or, in some cases, government agencies.
- The Hudson Community Foundation will welcome grant requests from nonprofit organizations that are located in, or provide services to Hudson, Ohio.
- The Foundation will look favorably on grant requests that fall into the areas of interest.
General Exclusions
- Grants to religious organizations or events
- Grants to private foundations
- Grants to cover past operating deficits or debt retirement
- Grants for support to individuals
- Testimonial dinners or advertising
- Political organizations or campaigns
- Capital campaigns
- Endowments
