The Lightfoot Foundation is a nonprofit organization that was established to provide financial assistance through scholarship, to post high school students who are looking to further their education. The Foundation also assists organizations, through grants, that preserve the environment and provide housing to the financially disadvantaged.
The Foundation’s funds for the particular grant period are distributed at the sole discretion of the Foundations Board of Directors. The Foundations funds can only be used for protection of the environment, environmental education, and support of non-profit organizations dedicated to one of the other two items.
Grant Requirements
The Lightfoot Foundation provides annual grants to select, qualified organizations in the state of Idaho. In order to be eligible for a grant, an organization must be classified as a 501(c)(3) by the Internal Revenue Service and be engaged in activities that further the protection and preservation of the environment.
