The purpose of this funding is to streamline and improve services for individuals in crisis experiencing chronic homelessness, addiction and behavioral health issues in the City of Bismarck.
Better Bismarck is a campaign created to address some of the root causes of crisis homelessness: addiction and mental health issues.
Eligibility Criteria
Applicants must meet the following criteria:
- The applicant must be a nonprofit, 501(c) (3) organization meeting the legal requirements of the State of North Dakota and the Internal Revenue Service (IRS)
- The applicant’s request for funding must include projects serving individuals with current, chronic and complex, long-term mental health and/or substance abuse disorders experiencing homelessness in the City of Bismarck. Applicants must incorporate opioid remediation strategies into their project
- The applicant must be able to provide an unduplicated count of residents served and complete progress reports required by the City of Bismarck.
