SF Shines is a program of the Invest In Neighborhoods division of the Office of Economic and Workforce Department. The program provides grants, design services, and project management for property improvements. The goal of the program is to help small businesses thrive and create vibrant and safe neighborhood commercial corridors.
Design Services grants aim to assist businesses in getting permit drawings for improvements to their storefronts to help with compliance, safety, and business operations.
Grantees will get access to a licensed architect who can ensure that a project will comply with applicable with local, state, and federal laws and codes.
Eligibility Criteria
Your business must:
- Have a storefront
- Have less than $2.5M in gross revenue in your most recent tax return
- Have an owner from a low or extremely-low income household or be a non-profit.
