Eligibility Criteria
- Nominees must be the top-level executive at a for-profit or nonprofit organization with a significant presence in the Denver metro area.
- Nominee must have a physical presence in the Denver metro area. (The Denver metro area is defined as: Adams, Arapahoe, Boulder, Broomfield, Denver, Douglas and Jefferson counties.)
- Nominees must have held the position for at least 12 months.
- It is strongly encouraged that qualifying CEOs accept their award in person at the November 20 awards dinner; please consider this when submitting your nomination.
- Self-nominations are welcome.
- You can only win once. If you are a past winner, please consider nominating an acquaintance for this program.
- Nominees must agree to participate in a Denver Business Journal interview and the awards presentation in order to be honored and recognized on the DBJ website, in the weekly print edition and at the event.
Requirements
- The Most Admired CEO Awards honor outstanding chief executives (and those holding equivalent titles — including, but not limited to, owner, executive director, president and managing principal) in the Denver metropolitan area in for-profit and nonprofit companies.
- An outstanding CEO is an innovator, standard-bearer, role model and transformational leader. Their contributions impact the organization they head as well as the community in which they serve. A commitment to financial success, quality, workplace wellness, diversity and philanthropy are hallmarks of an exceptional and admired chief executive.
- Judges will score each nominee based on their contributions to company success, civic engagement, career achievements and other details submitted through this nomination form.
- Denver Business Journal will honor an outstanding CEO for their invaluable contributions to the Denver region at a celebratory awards dinner in November and winners will be featured in a special section in the Denver Business Journal.
