K12 is now accepting applications for its Minecraft Challenge, open to Kindergarten through 12th Grade students enrolled in a K12-powered school. This creative summer competition invites students to design and build their craziest summer roller coaster in Minecraft Education. Participants can submit either a photo or video of their build.
One winner will be selected from each grade band—K-2, 3-5, 6-8, and 9-12. The entry with the most votes in each group will win a $25 Amazon E-gift Card. The deadline for submissions is July 31, 2025.
To be eligible, students must be legal residents of the 50 U.S. states or the District of Columbia and currently enrolled in a K12-powered school. Entries for students under 13 must be submitted by a parent or guardian. K12 employees and their immediate family members are not eligible.
All entries must follow specific content rules. Submissions must not contain offensive, violent, explicit, or suggestive material, promote illegal or unsafe activities, or violate any copyright or trademark laws. Personal identification and depictions of individuals without permission are also prohibited.
Submissions must not exceed 50 MB in size to qualify for a prize, and plagiarism will result in disqualification. Winning entries should reflect creativity, originality, and a positive image aligned with K12’s values.
