The Individual Artist Fellowship Program, offered by the Oregon Arts Commission, recognizes the accomplishments of professional artists in Oregon and supports the advancement of their careers. This fellowship is awarded across various artistic disciplines and rotates focus each year.
Eligible disciplines include Performing Arts such as dance, music composition, theater, storytelling, and performance art, as well as Visual Arts like painting, sculpture, photography, and graphic design. Fellowships in Literary and Media Arts are offered through partnerships with Literary Arts and PAM CUT (Center for an Untold Tomorrow).
Each selected artist will receive a $5,000 award. The funding period for this fellowship runs from January 1, 2026, to December 31, 2026.
To be eligible, applicants must be at least 18 years old, reside in Oregon for at least one year prior to the deadline, and not be enrolled in a creative degree program. Artists must not have received a fellowship from the Commission in the past five years and may only submit one application per year. While collaborative work is acknowledged, fellowships are granted only to individual artists.
The application deadline is October 15, 2025.
