The JCS Fund believes that young people who play, hear, and appreciate classical instrumental music lead better, more successful, and rewarding lives. To further these beliefs, the JCS Fund developed the Young People’s Music Initiative (YPMI). The Initiative provides grants in support of DuPage County elementary, middle, and high school instrumental and general music programs.
Eligibility Criteria
Public schools and districts that primarily serve DuPage County students are eligible to apply.
- Elementary Schools
- Grants at the elementary school level will be made to support general music and instrumental programs.
- Elementary school applications should be submitted at the district level for projects that benefit all elementary schools in the district.
- Grants will be awarded for up to $10,000.
- Middle and High Schools
- Grants at the middle or high school level will only be made to support instrumental music programs.
- Grants will be awarded for up to $10,000.
