BxCF’s Fall 2024 Participatory Grantmaking RFP will provide financial resources to Bronx organizations focused on innovative solutions to address systemic challenges around community and health.

Fall 2024 BxCF Participatory Grantmaking RFP Pillars

  • Community: The Bronx Community Foundation believes that every Bronxite deserves social, cultural, and economic support throughout their lifetime; they are committed to providing nonprofits and grassroots organizations in The Bronx with resources to help them and the communities they serve thrive. They provide grant funding to organizations that provide services in arts and culture, communities.
  • Health: The Bronx Community Foundation is immensely proud to offer Fall 2024 heath grant funds. Grants are available to organizations increasing health equity and access through health and mental health services, food sovereignty through food pantries and community gardens, developing a healthier and safer environment, and expanding nutrition and wellness knowledge. These health initiatives work to remove systemic injustices that have caused the health and quality of life to lag behind the rest of the city.

Funds may be used to cover program and training materials, workshops, staff expenses, overhead, etc. In this round of funding, the applicant can use the funds for what is deemed necessary for the success of their proposed project/program and services.

  • Commitment to lead efforts to engage The Bronx community to shape the future, be diligent at dismantling systemic racism, and build community wealth in The Bronx.
  • Build for scalability, multi-generational sustainability, and resilience.
  • Collaborate with The Bronx community to take a participatory grantmaking approach toward creating solutions to impact the community.
  • Leverage racial equity primes and protocols for the grants process.
  • Operate with financial rigor and humanity.
  • Amplify and elevate community groups and organizations in The Bronx.
  • Partner with organizations and community groups in The Bronx to address economic and social challenges and eradicate systemic inequalities.
  • Unwavering commitment to social change, confronting racism, and sharing power and resources.
