They are offering Micro-Grants of up to $500 for individuals and $1500 for businesses and organizations in support of walkability, bikeability, or access to safe and healthy spaces for physical activity.
They fund projects that encourage active living, active transportation, mobility safety, or use of the built environment. They encourage organizations, residents, and businesses to think creatively about your community’s needs and existing resources to create a project that makes it safer, easier, and/or more fun to be active in your Denver neighborhood.
Who is eligible to apply
Any individual, business, or organization within the City & County of Denver is eligible to apply for the Micro-Grant. Previous recipients of CALC Micro-Grants are eligible for different projects or different phases/components of a project.
- Individuals may apply for up to $500, to be distributed via gift card or check.
- Organizations or Businesses with a valid W-9 may apply for up to $1500, to be distributed via check or ACH.
- Micro-Grant recipients should expect to receive a 1099 for their Micro-Grant funds if being paid by check, and should prepare expenses and taxes appropriately.
Requirements
- Project must be located within the City and County of Denver.
- Project must be completed within 90 days of approval and funding.
- Post-project reflections must be returned within 2 weeks of project completion.
- Micro-Grant approval does not replace or supersede other necessary permit processes or approvals that may be needed for your project (such as Office of Special Events permits).
