The grant will be awarded to an early career scientist who is emboldened with the indomitable and unconquerable spirit of Nicole Gularte to develop, create, and deliver access to advanced therapies for pediatric patients and significantly contribute to the field of advanced therapies.

Eligibility Criteria
Applicants must meet the following criteria:
- Must be an Early Stage Investigator holding a doctoral degree (PhD, MD, or D.O) earned from an accredited institution within the last 5 years.
- Work location must be located in the United States.
Evaluation Criteria
Applications will be evaluated based on the following criteria:
- A letter of Nomination from a mentor or advisor with a career in advanced therapies.
- Alignment with Nicole’s vision to fight for cures, including a career commitment to moving advanced therapies forward.
- Quality of scientific work as demonstrated through peer-reviewed publications.
- Significance and approach of the proposed project to advance a novel cell, gene, or advanced therapy.
- Research environment and resources.
- Research budget justification.
- Ability to attend the EWF Believe Ball on September 27, 2024.
- Applicant consents to acknowledge EWF as a contributing source of funding for grant applications, publications, and presentations and recognition in EWF literature and publications.
