In 2022 the Sisters of St. Francis of the Immaculate Conception established the St. Joseph’s Home Legacy of Care Fund at the Community Foundation for the Land of Lincoln upon the closure of St. Joseph’s Home in Springfield, Illinois. The purpose of the St. Joseph’s Home Legacy of Care Fund is to provide financial support to programs and services that offer care to seniors in central Illinois.
Awards will be given to requests that support programs and services that provide care for seniors with a financial need.
Geographic Limitations
Funds must be used for programs and services assisting seniors (55 years of age and older) who reside in Cass, Christian, Logan, Macoupin, Menard, Morgan, Montgomery, and/or Sangamon County.
Funding Information
Awards made in 2024 will range from $25,000 to $50,000, depending on availability of funds.
Who can apply?

- registered 501(c)(3) charitable organizations
- faith-based organizations (proposals must benefit all, regardless of religion, and be for service provided which is not religious in nature)

- units of government or municipalities.
