Funding Information
A total of $65,000 in funding is available for all applicants, with a maximum grant request of $30,000 per business.
Eligible Projects
Examples of Preferred Iron County Small Business Grant Projects:
- Infrastructure developments
- Construction of a new building/adding to an existing building
- New or upgraded equipment or machinery
- Value-added agriculture expansion projects
- New or uncommon industry investment
- Business-related technology or services
- Business start-up costs.
Eligibility Criteria
A project or application eligible to apply for the Iron County Small Business Grant must be located in Iron County and have an established licensed business and/or a business plan. If selected for a grant, the business must be registered with Iron County or a community within Iron County before funds will be distributed.
Ineligibility Criteria
- Project is not or would not be located in Iron County
- Project or application does not provide business development or job creation
- Project or application is behind on property taxes, invalid/unapproved business license or Conditional Use Permit or in violation of any other applicable Federal, State or County rule, regulation or requirement
- Applicants are not eligible to reapply for three years after receiving funding from the Iron County Small Business Grant.
