Educators may request up to $500.
Eligibility Criteria
- Open to current educators who work in Hanover or Caroline County at a school able to receive funds from the Hanover-Caroline Soil and Water Conservation District
- Must agree to award conditions
- Funds may not be used towards operating costs (staff time) or food
- Examples of eligible requests include consumable student materials like chemical tests, classroom equipment, classroom materials, scientific equipment, field trip fees, etc.
Review Criteria/Project Preferences
Strong applications will meet some or all of the following:
- Demonstrate alignment with H-C SWCD’s Mission
- Reach 20 or more students (at least one class)
- Focus on the conservation of natural resources, or agriculture’s integration with the conservation of natural resources
- Demonstrate an interdisciplinary approach to conservation/natural resources
