The United Way advances the common good by creating opportunities for all. The focus is on education, income and health—the building blocks for a good quality of life and a strong community.
Eligibility Criteria
- To be eligible for United Way funding, an organization (“agency”) must be a 501(c) (3) not-for profit organization, in operation for at least one year.
- The agency must provide programs or services that align with the United Way’s pillars of health, education and financial stability.
- The Atchison Area United Way does NOT provide general operating support through partner agency funding. Funding requests must be made for a specific program/service.
Packet Instructions
All application packets must include the following:
- Signed Agency Agreement,
- Application – all sections, including program outcomes,
- Most recent IRS Form 990, including all schedules,
- 501(c)(3) IRS Exemption Letter dated before January 1, 2024,
- Agency’s most current financial review/audit.
- List of agency’s board of directors or governing body,
- List of agency’s other funding sources for the program seeking United Way funding,
- Copies of program brochures and/or promotional materials.
