The NTDF program promotes Kansas City’s neighborhoods through cultural, social, ethnic, historic, educational, and recreational activities while positioning Kansas City as a premier convention, visitor, and tourist destination.
Eligible projects must be open to Kansas City, Missouri, residents and attract visitors from outside the city limits. Examples include:
- Festivals
- Rodeos
- Sports tournaments
- Concerts
- Movies in the park
- Home tours
- Arts Exhibits and Performances
- Parades
- Races and runs
Project Period
This cycle awards funding for events located in Kansas City taking place May 1, 2026, through April 30, 2027.
Eligibility Requirements
- Must be a not-for-profit neighborhood organization incorporated in the State of Missouri with a physical address located within Kansas City limits
- Be in good standing with the State of Missouri and the City of Kansas City, Missouri
- Demonstrate encouragement of broad-based citizen input and participation
