These funds are designated to support projects that provide decent housing, create suitable living environments, and expand economic opportunities, particularly for lowto moderate-income individuals and communities.
National Objectives
For the 2026-27 Program Year, beginning on July 1, 2026, the County anticipates receiving approximately $2.3 million in CDBG funds. These funds are available for use in Participating Cities under the County’s CDBG program. To be eligible, projects must meet one of the three HUD national objectives:
- Benefit low- to moderate-income persons.
- Address or eliminate slums and blight.
- Address urgent community needs, such as natural disasters.
Geographical Areas
The following cities and surrounding communities are part of the County’s CDBG Participating Cities Program: Adelanto, Barstow, Big Bear Lake, Colton, Grand Terrace, Highland, Loma Linda, Montclair, Needles, Redlands, Twentynine Palms, Yucaipa, and Yucca Valley.
Eligibility Criteria
The County seeks applications from eligible entities, including cities and nonprofit organizations, capable of delivering public services or capital improvement projects that align with the goals outlined in the County’s HUD Five-Year Consolidated Plan.
