The City Management Academy (CMA), a structured learning program designed to educate, increase transparency, build community partnerships, and deepen public understanding of how local government functions.
Through weekly in-person sessions, CMA provides participants an opportunity to learn how the City is managed and operated, discuss challenges facing the City, and learn about strategies used to address them. From budgeting and policy development to public safety and infrastructure, CMA offers residents and business owners a behind-the-scenes look at City operations. The program encourages meaningful civic engagement by connecting participants with City staff, elected officials, and the essential services that shape Sacramento’s neighborhoods.
Eligibility Criteria
To be eligible, applicants must reside in the City of Sacramento or own a business in the City of Sacramento. Applicants must also be at least 16 years old.
