Eligibility Criteria
- Non-Profit Status: Applicants must be a registered non-profit organization with 501(c)(3) status.
- Mission Alignment: The organization’s mission and programs should align with the program’s goal of improving quality of life for Beaufort County residents with an emphasis on enhancing the well-being and self-sufficiency of vulnerable or disadvantaged populations.
- Transparency: The use of a fiscal agent will not be allowed to ensure direct accountability and transparency. Only one application per organization will be accepted, identified by their Federal Tax Identification Number (EIN).
- Geographic Focus: The organization must serve Beaufort County residents. The entire grant award must be used exclusively for the benefit of Beaufort County residents.
- Past Performance: Positive track record with previous Community Services grants (if applicable), including compliance with reporting and performance requirements.

- Endowments or Scholarships
- Debt or Encumbrances
- Religious or Political Activities
- Legal Services.
