The vitality and uniqueness of Bernalillo County is tied to strong neighborhoods and active residents. Neighborhood associations play a vital role in enhancing and strengthening the sense of community among their neighbors and throughout the entire county.
To help support these Neighborhood Associations, Bernalillo County established the Neighborhood Grant Program with the purpose of promoting collaboration between local government and the community it serves. This program provides limited funding for a broad range of neighborhood projects and programs aimed at enhancing the safety, beauty, and connectivity of Bernalillo County.
Funding Information
- Small projects and events may receive up to $2,500 per association
- Large projects and events may receive up to $7,500 per association (large projects require a 25% match)
Project Requirements
- Occur within Bernalillo County
- Enhance the safety, beauty, and/or connectivity of the neighborhood
- Be free and open to all residents within neighborhood association boundaries
- Be coordinated and completed by members of the awarded association.
Eligibility Criteria
Individual, recognized Neighborhood Associations within either Bernalillo County or the City of Albuquerque are eligible to apply for grant funding through this formal proposal.
