The Accelerator Grants are one-time grants intended to speed up urgent civil justice initiatives and help launch impactful new projects. These grants are provided by the Legal Foundation of Washington and are available to civil legal aid providers or groups working in partnership with them within the state of Washington.
The purpose of these grants is to support innovative and responsive efforts that could benefit from a single infusion of funds. The Legal Foundation of Washington aims to fund work that centers anti-racist efforts, supports historically excluded communities, and drives long-term systemic change.
Priority is given to civil justice work serving groups that have been under-resourced in legal aid. These include Native American and Indigenous peoples, individuals without lawful immigration status, and people affected by the justice system, including those re-entering society.
Grant amounts typically range from $20,000 to $100,000. The total grant period lasts one year, from January 1, 2026, to December 31, 2026.
The application deadline is August 15, 2025. Proposals must focus on civil legal aid work specifically within Washington state.
