The State Health Insurance Assistance Program (SHIP) is a national program that offers one-on-one assistance, counseling, and education to Medicare beneficiaries, their families, and caregivers to help them make informed decisions about their care and benefits.
All awards will be subject to the availability of federal funds and have a project period of up to five years. One SHIP grant will be awarded to cover each state, the District of Columbia, Puerto Rico, Guam and the U.S. Virgin Islands.
Funding Information
- Expected total program funding over the performance period: $260 million.
- Funding range per applicant per budget period: $60,000 to $4,200,000.
- ACL plans to fund awards in 5 12-month budget periods for a 5-year period of performance of April 1, 2025, to March 31, 2030.
