Types of Grants

  • Event Marketing Grants
    • Funding is to be used to market events that bring new visitors to Town, and to promote repeat visitation.
  • Matching Marketing Grants
    • Funds are to be used to provide marketing through advertising and/or the creation and production of other forms of marketing to enhance year-round tourism.

Priority Areas

The VSB has created four priority areas:

  • Event Marketing Grants
    • Events during the shoulder season
    • To increase visitation and encourage businesses to open earlier in the season and/or stay open in the fall and winter months =
    • New Events (Events produced for up to 5 years are considered new).
    • Funding is seed money to help establish your marketing strategies for a successful event.
    • Established Events (more than 5 years)
    • With a demonstrated marketing plan to improve Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) attendance at the event.
    • Partnerships
    • A demonstrated effort to partner and collaborate with local businesses to increase the economic impact of the Town.
  • Matching Marketing Grants
    • Programs during the shoulder season
      • Programs during the shoulder season will increase visitation and encourage businesses to open earlier in the season and/or stay open in the fall and winter months.
    • New Programs (programs up to 5 years are considered new).
      • Funding is seed money to help establish and support your marketing strategies.
    • Established programs (more than 5 years) with a demonstrated marketing plan to improve Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) participation.

    • Demonstrated efforts to partner and collaborate with local businesses to increase the impact of the program or organization.
