The WeHo Artist Grant provides direct funding to individual artists who live in the City of West Hollywood. Applicants MUST be current residents of the City of West Hollywood who can demonstrate a consistent and active art practice. Allocated grant funds may be used in any way that meaningfully supports the applicant’s career development.
By investing directly in artists, the City of West Hollywood aims to:
- Support artists who live in the City,
- Provide direct support to artists to help sustain and grow their creative work;
- Increase public awareness of the artistic contributions of West Hollywood residents;
- Encourage artists to share their work with the community through presentations, exhibitions, or other public-facing activities;
- Contribute to the cultural vibrancy of West Hollywood by supporting diverse voices and creative expression;
- Offer opportunities for artists to build their portfolios, networks, and visibility;
- Attract new creative talent, and
- Strengthen the City’s cultural and economic vitality.
