With $1.5 million allocated for minor capital improvements, this initiative will ensure that each council district receives dedicated funds to enhance local parks.
Project Eligibility
- Projects must be at a City of Phoenix Park. Projects must be capital improvements which demonstrate public investments in infrastructure, and/ or a renovation of assets and must not contribute to additional ongoing maintenance and operational costs to the Department.
- Eligible applicants must be neighborhood organizations listed with the Neighborhood Services Department
- Projects cannot be combined with any other Parks and Recreation Department source of funding.
- All projects will be completed by City approved contractors and must meet City standards. The Parks and Recreation Department will establish a timeline for the completion of each project.
- Projects must meet existing infrastructure requirements to be considered and funded. Examples include water lines and electricity.
- All projects must be eligible for completion within the General Obligation Bond Program between 2024 and 2029.
