Applicants should demonstrate a commitment to their practice and must have an exhibition history. They invite artists within the field of contemporary art to apply, which can include painting, sculpture, installation, new media, performance art, and socially-engaged forms.
Artists & Mothers is a nonprofit organization with a mission to support emerging and mid-career artists who identify as mothers. Awarded to New York City-based artists with children under the age of three, grantees will receive a grant for nine months of childcare to be used with the provider of their choice.
Eligible to New York City-based artists with children under the age of three, awardees will receive a grant for $25,000 to be used for childcare expenses with the provider of their choice.
Eligibility Criteria
- US Citizen, Permanent Legal Resident status
- Working artists with at least five years of professional commitment to their practice
- Applicants must have a child three years of age or younger as of December 31, 2026
- Applicants must live in one of the five boroughs of New York City.
