This project is made possible with funds from the Statewide Community Regrants Program, a regrant program of the New York State Council on the Arts with the support of the Office of the Governor and the New York State Legislature and administered by the Putnam Arts Council.
The purpose of the Individual Artist program is to provide support for the creative development of local artists, to enable artists to complete a work-in-progress or a new work and to engage with the public in a community context or public space.
Funding Information
Grants of up to $3,000 are available to individual artists who are residents of Putnam County.
Eligibility Criteria
Artists apply directly for the Individual Artist Grant. Applicant may submit one grant proposal for funding consideration. Multiple submissions will not be accepted. All applicants must meet the following criteria:
- Must be at least 18 years of age at the time of submission.
- A resident of Putnam County in New York State.
- May not be enrolled in a full-time degree program.
- Applicant must submit a work sample of their past work to be considered.
- Project must be independent work initiated by the artist.
