Focus Areas
Through the grants program, NEXT for AUTISM empowers autistic-led and community-based initiatives to create meaningful change in four focus areas:
- Work: Enhancing employment opportunities for autistic adults.
- Home: Improving living environments for autistic individuals.
- Social Engagement: Fostering connections, friendships, and community integration.
- Health & Well-being: Promoting access to healthcare, mental health support, and wellness resources for autistic individuals.
Types of Grants
- Pioneer Grants: Designed for organizations that have never received funding from NEXT for AUTISM, these grants provide up to $10,000 to support innovative, community-based, or autistic-led programs.
- Impact Grants: Available to returning grantees, these grants offer up to $25,000 to expand, scale, or introduce new innovative programs.

The grant duration typically covers projects for one year.
Funding Information
First-time grantees may apply for up to $10,000, while returning grantees are eligible to request up to $25,000.
Eligibility Criteria
NEXT for AUTISM invites applications from organizations meeting the following criteria:
- U.S.-based 501(c)(3) organizations or those with a fiscal sponsor
- Programs focusing on Work, Home, Social, or Health serving autistic adults
- Priority for low-income, underserved, and rural communities
- Demonstrated measurable impact and evidence-based methodologies.
