BMORE Beautiful annually selects community-based organizations through a competitive application process, that gives precedence to organizations that prioritize Mayor and City Owned vacant lots. Selected groups can receive grant funds up to $6,325 for providing services for up to 25 vacant lots. The value of the grant depends on the number of vacant lots maintained and equates to $23 per lot visit for a total of 11 visits per lot during the grant period.

- Mayor & City Council Owned Lots (preferred)
- Small Pocket Parks
- Small Neighborhood Gardens
- Community Owned Vacant Lots
- Private nuisance lots (self abatement/permission from lot owner required).
Eligibility Criteria
Applicants must meet all the following conditions:
- The applicant must be a registered IRS 501(c) (3) tax exempt organization and in good standing with the State of Maryland, per the State Department of Assessments and Taxation website
- If the applicant, is not a registered IRS 501(c) the applicant must identify a fiscal sponsor that is a registered 501 (c) 3 tax exempt organization that is in good standing with the State.
- The organization’s principal place of business must be in Baltimore City. If using a fiscal sponsor, that fiscal sponsor must also have a location in Baltimore City.
