Love Your Block is a community engagement grant designed to support small projects that have a clear public benefit, focuses on reducing litter, while enhancing the overall aesthetic of the neighborhood.
Projects may include, but are not limited to:
- Creating or Updating Green Spaces: Community gardens, pocket parks, maintaining or creating garden beds, flower planting.
- Streetscaping: Planting & maintaining tree pits, sprucing up neighborhood signs, purchasing neighborhood signs.
- Community Art: Small scale art murals, developing a portrait series of neighbors, painting public benches
- Sprucing Up Pathways: Mulching/clearing overgrowth on trails, creating safe school walking paths, installing bike racks, or other pedestrian amenities.
- Signage and Wayfinding: Installing or improving neighborhood signage to enhance visibility and make it easier to navigate the area
- Increasing Neighborhood Safety: Repairing/installing lighting fixtures.

Eligibility Criteria
- Projects must be resident led.
- Interested residents, neighborhood groups, and community organizations are invited to apply.
- Projects must take place in Baltimore City.
- Projects must be Baltimore City volunteer-led
- Projects must demonstrate a creative solution to issues affecting your neighborhood, particularly projects that impact the overall curb appeal of your neighborhood through cleanliness and beautification.
- Projects must stand alone and can be completed within the implementation period.
