The Program’s purpose is to provide and give opportunity for visibility to the most underrepresented groups and communities within the larger LGBTQ+ community, where without such support, the group or organization may not be able to participate in Pride.
The City welcomes any proposal that aligns with the intention of the program. This year, special consideration will be given to the following:
- Events highlighting or supporting the Transgender Community
- Mental Health and Wellness events
- HIV and AIDS services events
- Lesbian events.
Eligibility Criteria
To be eligible to participate in the program, organizations and events must meet the following criteria:
- LGBTQ+ serving Group or Organization.
- Demonstrated connection to the West Hollywood Community.
- Alignment with the City’s purpose and messaging related to the WeHo Pride event.
- Event must serve a public purpose and cannot be a commercial venture.
- Event must be free and open to the public.
- Event must take place within the City of West Hollywood or immediately adjacent (within 5 blocks of the border of West Hollywood).
- Event must take place in the month of June 2025.
The Event Organizer must be a nonprofit organization, West Hollywood Neighborhood Watch association, business located in the City of West Hollywood with an active business license, or business that serves the West Hollywood community, or a governmental organization. The Event Organizer/Organization must be authorized to do business in the State of California (by way of example only: in good standing with the Secretary of State and Franchise tax Board).
