The Poway Community Foundation is currently accepting grant applications for projects aimed at enhancing the quality of life in Poway, California. These grants are intended to support community-based initiatives that promote positive, lasting change.
Grants range from $2,500 to $10,000 and are awarded for a one-year period. All funded projects must take place within the City of Poway and directly benefit its residents.
Eligible applicants include 501(c)(3) public charities, organizations with a fiscal sponsor, schools, or government agencies. Individuals, private foundations, or supporting organizations are not eligible. Projects that involve scholarships, capital campaigns, or promote religious or political doctrines will not be considered.
Applicants must present a clearly defined project with specific goals, strategies, and measurable outcomes. Proposals should also include a plan for long-term sustainability and demonstrate how the project will remain viable beyond the grant period.
If an organization applies with a fiscal sponsor, the relationship between the two must be well established, and the sponsor must be prepared to manage the grant. Applicants must also be open to a site visit from the Poway Community Foundation during the grant period.
The deadline to apply is August 30, 2025.
