Adirondack Community Foundation enhances the lives of people in the Adirondacks through philanthropy. Generous Acts is supported by hundreds of donors dedicated to addressing local needs and identifying opportunities where philanthropic dollars can create positive change. In the past five years, Generous Acts has awarded over $4 million in grants to nonprofits, schools, and community-based organizations. They seek applications that are mindful of underserved populations, help address racial, economic, or other disparities, have clear outcomes, and demonstrate collaboration and community buy-in.

Nonprofit organizations, schools and municipalities located in or serving the people of the Adirondack Region, defined for this purpose as all of Clinton, Essex, Franklin, and Hamilton counties as well as the parts of Herkimer, St. Lawrence, Warren, and Washington counties within the Adirondack Park boundary.
