The Los Angeles City Council District 4 to help us better manage the community’s many deserving requests, ensure responsible use of public resources, and give each application the thoughtful review it deserves, the grant portal will no longer remain open year-round. Moving forward, applications will only be accepted during designated grant cycles three times per year.
Grants are available through Council District 4’s portion of the AB1290 Redevelopment Fund, commonly known as discretionary funds. These funds help support projects that beautify our neighborhoods, serve community needs, and improve quality of life for CD4 residents and Angelenos across the city.

Eligibility Criteria
- Must be a registered, non-sectarian, 501(c) nonprofit organization.
- Must hold a valid BTRC number.
- Must be based in, or demonstrate a strong connection to, Council District 4 and requested funds must directly benefit Council District 4 communities and constituents.
- Grant funds may not be used to promote religious beliefs or activities.
- Grants for an individual or private entity will not be considered.
- Eligible projects may include educational, recreational, arts and cultural, environmental, public safety, health, and social service programs.
